This study investigates whether 4-month-old infants build causal action-effect models, a prerequisite for a sense of agency. Using behavioral and neural measures of violation of expectation, we found evidence for causal models only in a subset of infants. Thus, the sense of agency is beginning to emerge at this age.
Brain Products has been a big supporter of LabStreamingLayer (LSL) right from the very beginning. Since then, LSL has become a well-established tool for the EEG research community and beyond. To continue and improve our support for this system we provide a venue where interested researchers can easily find all the necessary tools and information.
With labs and universities starting to re-open after the coronavirus lockdown, many researchers are able to start recording EEG data again. We would like to support you by summarizing our guidelines for disinfecting your Brain Products EEG equipment.
Beginners from non-technical disciplines are often challenged when setting up their EEG experiment especially in terms of triggers/markers. If you are struggling with this topic, too, or want to learn more, check out our new “Beginner’s guide on Communication with the trigger port”.
Co-registration of peripheral physiological signals with EEG has always been an important topic for our users. Our Technical Support Team has collected the most frequent questions about this and compiled a comprehensive tutorial which is now available.
Besides our solutions for EEG recordings, Brain Products offers a variety of sensors dedicated to peripheral physiological signals. This guide should provide you with an overview of processing steps that are commonly applied to sensor signals and how you can implement them in your analysis pipeline in BrainVision Analyzer 2.
In addition to providing detailed and up-to-date operating instructions for our products, we started producing tutorial videos in 2019. Very recently we added two further videos to our collection: how to replace sponges and how to exchange tubes of the R-Net.
Given the huge variety of EEG Recording Caps that are available on the market choosing the right one is sometimes not an easy task. In this article Falk Minow (General Manager of Easycap GmbH), gives a comprehensive overview of different cap solutions offered by Easycap and Brain Products.
The MoBI Award was designed to recognize excellence in the field of Mobile Brain/Body Imaging research. Taking your research out of the lab and into the real world is no easy feat and Brain Products wants to encourage and reward scientists who are doing so. During our online virtual symposium, we awarded two (yes, a tie!) first place winners with LiveAmp 32 systems and our third place winner with a LiveAmp 8 system.
The Brain Products Young Scientist Award is presented each year to recognize a young researcher’s outstanding publication in the field of EEG-based psychophysiological research. As this year's winner the independent jury selected Esra Al.
Thanks to your unwavering trust in us, Brain Products is continually growing. To keep offering you unrivaled services and customer support, we’re constantly looking for dedicated, highly skilled professionals to join our team. On that note, we’re excited to introduce our newest team members to you.
