Who is who…?! – New team members at Brain Products

Having a qualified, reliable and committed team is a key factor for staying successful as a company. Just like continuously successful sports teams are proud of their “new signings”, we are proud of ours and would like to briefly introduce our newest team members to you.
Scientific Support: Dr. Maryam Faramarzi
Maryam combines in-depth theoretical knowledge of signal processing from her electrical engineering studies with extensive practical experience in the analysis of electrophysiological data and a doctorate in neuroscience. This gives her strong expertise in the neural measurement and analytics community.
One focus is on EEG data: application of filters, artifact reduction using independent component analysis (ICA), and spectral analyses such as short-time Fourier transform (STFT) and wavelet analyses.
In addition, Maryam has designed and conducted EEG experiments using Brain Products technologies, including BrainAmp recorders and BrainVision Analyzer. This practical experience has given her valuable familiarity with Brain Products tools and their applications in research.

Scientific Support: Merve Kutlu, M.Sc.
Merve has been part of the Scientific Support Team since August 2025. In her role, she supports BrainVision Analyzer users with data analysis. She has an academic background in psychology and neuroscience and gained extensive experience with EEG studies during her master’s thesis and doctoral studies.
During her PhD, she investigated the electrophysiological correlates of human sleep and memory processes using EEG, developing strong expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation.
In addition to her research work, she has contributed to teaching scientific communication, helping students convey complex ideas clearly and effectively. She has also been actively involved in organizing academic events and mentoring students in neuroscientific research.
