Who is who…?! – New team members at Brain Products

Having a qualified, reliable and committed team is a key factor for staying successful as a company. Just like continuously successful sports teams are proud of their “new signings”, we are proud of ours and would like to briefly introduce our newest team members to you.
Marketing: Dr. Alex Kreilinger
Dr. Alex Kreilinger is the newest Scientific Consultant in our Marketing Team and joined Brain Products in May 2018. Alongside his colleagues, he will work on our strategic marketing and B2B efforts and support our operative marketing activities.
Alex received his doctor’s degree in Technical Sciences at the Graz University of Technology, Austria. The title of his dissertation is “Improving continuous motor imagery-controlled applications with hybrid brain-computer interface design principles“. Before starting at Brain Products, Alex was a Scientific Employee at Graz University of Technology (Institute of Neural Engineering, 2008–2013) and the Medical University of Graz (Eye Hospital, 2013–2018). He was involved in the TOBI EU project (developing tools for Brain-Computer Interaction) as well as in projects focussing on the restoration of vision in patients with retinal dystrophy.
Being a skilled researcher with an outstanding technical background and long-time experience in Machine Learning and Human-Computer Interaction, we are happy to have Alex on board!
Information Technologies (IT): Uwe Heiss
We are proud that our company keeps growing in terms of employees as well as customers. However, this – as well as externally imposed regulations – keeps our IT department even busier. Therefore, we are very happy that Uwe Heiss joined us in April 2018.
Alongside our IT Manager Ingo Westermayer, Uwe will be in charge of, for example, servicing Brain Products IT infrastructure (server and client systems), maintaining our network and backup systems as well as keeping all operating systems and software applications used in our company running.
Being a trained electrical and electronics installer who has gathered many years of experience in the IT departments of renowned companies, Uwe will for sure be a great addition to our IT team.
