Marketing Manager (Brain Products)
Having a qualified, reliable and committed team is a key factor for staying successful as a company. Just like continuously successful sports teams are proud of their “new signings”, we are proud of ours and would like to briefly introduce our new team members to you.
Dr. Christina Lavallee came all the way from Canada to join Brain Products’ Marketing Team in late 2017. Alongside her colleagues, she will work on our strategic marketing and support our operative marketing activities. Her main focus will be to boost Brain Products’ efforts to foster the application field of “MoBI” (mobile Brain/Body Imaging).
Before joining Brain Products, Christina was with the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) in Toronto, ON. She was a Clinical Research Project Coordinator there, for the past 1,5 years managing various studies with the Cochlear Implant Program. Christina had lived and worked in Europe before. From 2011 to 2015 she did her PhD in experimental psychology at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg/Germany (thesis title: “Investigating Inhibition via the Stop-Signal Task with EEG and fMRI”). After that she was a post doctoral fellow at Trento University’s Center for Mind/Brain Science University (Italy) where she mainly investigated neurophysiological mechanisms contributing to visual attention using simultaneously combined EEG-fMRI recordings.
Being a skilled researcher and an experienced user of Brain Products hard- and software, we are very happy to see Christina join the Brain Products family!
is the newest Scientific Consultant in our Sales Team and joined Brain Products in November 2017. As such he will, among others, be involved in our direct sales activities as well as supporting our certified distributors in theirs. Of course, you – our customers – will also have plenty of opportunities to meet Adam in person, e.g. at conferences, product demonstrations and workshops.
Before starting at Brain Products, Adam was a research assistant at the Center for Cognitive Neuroimaging (CCNi), Institute of Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of Glasgow (Scotland), and at the Brain, Memory, and Language Lab in Budapest (Hungary). There he mainly conducted behavioral, EEG and TMS studies in statistical and motor skill learning. Adam also spent a great deal of his research career at Eötvös Loránd University and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (in Budapest/Hungary) working, for example, with Prof. Dr. Valéria Csépe. There he also earned his PhD in Cognitive Psychology (thesis title: “ The heterogeneity of ADHD: evidence from neuropsychological subtyping“).
It’s great to have Adam in our team … again, welcome to Brain Products, Adam!
R&D – Hardware Development
Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Sven Seitola joined our R&D Team in September 2017. Currently, Sven is mainly supporting our existing Hardware Development Team (i.e. Jochen, Mario and Peter) in maintaining and improving our existing hardware. However, he will soon take over his own projects and make our R&D department even more efficient. Stay tuned for more …
Sven studied medical engineering & technology at the University of Applied Sciences Ulm (Germany) and then focused on building medical devices (2004 – 2009). After finishing university, he went to Finland to gain some work experience abroad. From July 2010 to August 2017, Sven was a Design Engineer at Brainlab AG (R&D Patient Positioning & Monitoring).
We are very happy to have Sven on board at Brain Products.
Although some of the above are rarely in direct contact with you – our customers and distributors – they all contribute equally to making Brain Products what it is and what it stands for and we are proud to have them on board!
