Introducing our free Brain Products Academy webinars in 2025
Our first webinar in 2025 will be on navigating your career path after your PhD and will focus on practical tips from two careers experts to help you plan your next steps.
- Holly Prescott is a trained career guidance practitioner with 10 years’ experience working with doctoral and postdoctoral researchers. She focuses on helping PhD students and early career researchers with the next steps in their professional lives.
- Matthew Betts has built a strong community on LinkedIn, where he shares insights on academic and non-academic careers, as well as personal development. He founded MJB Consulting, where he has already guided over 80 PhDs and postdocs through career pivots.
Last year our webinar “What will you do after your PhD” focused on the career options available to you as a skilled scientist. The two webinars are complementary, and it would be worth watching the recording from 2024 before attending this year’s event.

In our second webinar this year (July), our EEG-fMRI Application specialist Cilia Jäger, Ph.D. will cover the basics of setting up your EEG system safely in the scanner. This is a must for anyone working with simultaneous EEG-fMRI; join us if you want to do safe and successful measurements.

In our third webinar of 2025, scientific consultant Shivakumar Viswanathan, Ph.D. will walk you through designing trigger codes. This can be challenging but it is an essential part of setting up your study. It helps to go back to basics and consider the ‘what, why, and how’ of setting up trigger codes for your experiment. This webinar will make designing your trigger codes easy.

We enjoy delivering our online events and we will continue to bring you free Brain Products Academy webinars. We will always strive to make sure they are useful for you, and we plan to keep bringing you interesting and engaging webinars. Familiar topics such as Analyzer and EEG-fMRI will stay in our webinar program. In fact, we will start our 2026 webinar series with an Analyzer webinar; make sure you’re signed up for our events mailing list to find out when it will be and what analysis topic we will cover. Data acquisition and hardware related topics are important to us, and we know they are important to you too. We will include more of these topics in our webinar program and cover a wider variety of special applications. We also plan to bring you more professional development and good scientific practice webinars: we care about you and your research as well as how you use our solutions for your studies.
