Why choose Brain Products Academy training?
We deliver high quality content that is driven by sound learning and education principles. Our team of experts design, develop, and deliver engaging content that pushes your learning forward and develops your knowledge. Let’s take a look back at 2025 and a view towards 2026 to summarise what Brain Products Academy can offer.
Online events
Our online events are always popular and offer excellent learning opportunities, especially for those who cannot join our in-person events.
- Our Foundations of EEG online workshop 2025 was a hit, as always, with attendees from across the globe.
- We don’t just care about your research; we also care about your research career. Therefore, we held another webinar on career paths after your PhD offering valuable advice to early career researchers.
- We also hosted a webinar on designing effective trigger codes for your EEG study. This topic is often one that’s difficult for new researchers and is a great example of how we can meet your learning needs.
Our next Foundations of EEG online workshop is already fixed for 24-26 February 2026 and registration is open!
Our webinar series for 2026 is also taking shape: we will cover BrainVision Analyzer, good scientific practice: open science, EEG-fMRI, and using sensors in your research.
In-person workshops
You can always count on our core workshops.
Our EEG 101 workshop extends the Foundations content to include hands-on acquisition and analysis. The 2025 event was held in our home city of Munich (Germany) and was a huge success. Stay tuned for our 2026 location – maybe we will be coming to you!- Our extremely popular Analyzer workshops take a deeper dive into data processing methods and how to make the most of the BrainVision Analyzer software. This year we took Analyzer A-Z on the road and visited Hamburg (Germany). As always, the workshop content was excellent, and our attendees had a great experience. In 2026 we will take our Analyzer workshop to Rome (Italy) in cooperation with Brain Products Italia.
In addition to our core workshops 2025 was a busy year for special applications.
- We ran our popular EEG-fMRI workshop in Ottawa (Canada), hosted by Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre and at their innovative Brain Imaging Centre.
- We held the second edition of our TMS-EEG workshop in cooperation with the Laboratory of Human Physiology, Dept. Biomedical and Clinical Sciences at the University of Milan (Italy).
- We introduced a new workshop into our programme: Mobile Brain/Body Imaging (MoBI) in cooperation with the BeMoBIL Lab at the TU Berlin (Germany).
These workshops were a great experience for us and our attendees.

I really like a lot the whole workshop. Thank you, guys!”
“I have participated in several neuroimaging workshops and courses in the past and this was by far the best one! The Brain Products/Vision team was incredibly helpful and full of insight. I have no doubt that my concurrent EEG-fMRI research will be significantly improved as a result of this workshop.”
“The workshop was well organized. The timings for each lesson were great and the balance of theoretical and practical lessons was optimal. I would recommend this workshop to both people who wants to join the TMS-EEG research and people who joined it recently.”
We also value our workshop partners and appreciate their expertise and teaching. We look forward to bringing you workshops on specific applications in 2026. Stay tuned – we’re working hard on the planning.

How to use Brain Products Academy for your own training or training your team members
We offer different levels of content that can support you and your students at various stages of the EEG research journey. We have content to get you started: for example, online and in-person workshops covering introductory content, webinars, and support tips.
Maybe you need a deeper introduction to get started with your new purchase quickly, in which case onboarding is for you. If you’re ready for a deeper dive, one of our in-person workshops will be a good option, for example Analyzer A-Z or EEG-fMRI – from principles to practice. Need more information on a specific topic as your progress? We have webinars and support tips that you can dip into as and when needed e.g. specific analysis techniques in Analyzer or tips and tricks in Recorder.
Here are some examples of how you can use Brain Products Academy training to accelerate learning and progress in your lab. We’ve considered two scenarios, a researcher completely new to EEG and someone starting their EEG-fMRI research, and we’ve suggested possible combinations of Brain Products Academy content to accelerate learning.
Getting started with EEG
If you are completely new to EEG a good place to start would be a theoretical introduction to EEG data acquisition at our online Foundations of EEG workshop. Followed by our EEG 101 in-person workshop to get some practical training. Once you’re ready to start pilot testing your study you will start using Analyzer to look at your data, Analyzer Onboarding would be a good option at this point. Perhaps you then need a deeper dive in data processing, our Analyzer A-Z workshop would be a good option here. Now that you have everything you need to get started, you can use our comprehensive collection of webinars and support tips to support you on specific topics.

Figure 1: An example learning journey for someone new to EEG. Start with Foundations of EEG Online when you need an introduction to the topic. Follow this with our EEG 101 in-person workshop when you need some practical training. Analyzer Onboarding would be a good option next when you’re ready to start processing your data. Follow this with our Analyzer A-Z workshop when you need a deeper dive into data processing. Finally, our comprehensive collection of webinars and support tips can be used as and when you need them. Our free support resources and excellent support team are available throughout your learning and research journey.
Getting started with EEG-fMRI
If you are getting started with EEG-fMRI it makes sense to start with Analyzer Onboarding, as you will use Analyzer for correcting MR related artifacts and getting a head start in Analyzer will help. Then have your EEG-fMRI Onboarding when you’re ready to start using your system and begin pilot testing. We recommend following this up with the EEG-fMRI in-person workshop; it will provide a refresher of the basics and go into more detail on the EEG-fMRI application. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with other researchers starting their EEG-fMRI journey. Finally, we have webinar recordings for handling scanner-related artifacts that are a great reminder of the key points and for further analysis in Analyzer for when you’re ready to go beyond artifact handling.

Start with Analyzer Onboarding to familiarize yourself with the software and give you a head start for learning artifact handling in Analyzer. Then have your EEG-fMRI Onboarding when you’re ready to start using your system and begin pilot testing. Next an in-person EEG-fMRI workshop will provide a refresher of the basics and go into more detail on the EEG-fMRI application. Our webinar recordings can then be used to supplement your scanner-related artifacts knowledge and to help you with further analysis in Analyzer for when you’re ready to go beyond artifact handling. Our free support resources and excellent support team are available throughout your learning and research journey.
We of course have excellent support teams and a whole host of resources to support you along the way:
